The Tough Part- JEE MAIN Preparation and LINGAYA`s UNIVERSITY-My Visit

Before Starting with JEE Main, I would like to share my views about my visit to LINGAYA`S UNIVERSITY, Faridabad today.

My friend had a physical counseling date lined up for today with Lingaya`s University and so we thought of going there to attend the counseling. Actually, my friend had already visited the campus with his father a week before and he has also already filled the admission form, now they have basically called us for the documents and fees submission. We went their traveling all across the city to the outskirts, it felt that we have come to some unknown place in our own city. Every thing from roads to buildings were new for us and most of them were under-construction. After a long 1 hour journey we reached the campus which looked like an old school building. The gate was locked and the guard was slept. We banged the horn to wake him up and he finally opened the gate. I drove my bike inside the campus and reached another gate where a couple of guards were waiting for us as they were told by the guard we met earlier of our arrival. They asked about why we came there and made us write an entry information in their register. We went in and since it was a Sunday many people were not there so I parked my bike in-front of the main gate of the main building only. I noticed that a paint job was going on, which looked nice and gave a new look to the buildings. We went inside the main building and the scene changed completely. The reception looked quite modern and the central A.C`s were working good to keep the place cool even during hot summer days. As I reached the reception desk I found two guards sitting over there, who were busy watching <something> in one mobile and smiling quietly. As we reached close to them they stood up and inquired us "Hanji Boliya". My friend asked about the counseling hall and one of the guards told us to go on the first floor towards right to reach the main auditorium where the counseling was going on. We thanked them and moved towards the stairs.

As we reached the mid of the stairs, we noticed the photograph of the founder of Lingaya`s group and walked quietly to pay a tribute to him. As we reached on the first floor we followed the instruction written on the wall following Counseling board with an arrow along it. We finally reached the Main Auditorium and entered it. It looked nice, it was not as big as a movie theater hall but was well maintained. The A.C`s here worked more perfectly and we noticed many people including professors to Parents along with their children for admission. One of the guards came running to us and asked in which field are we interested in? My friend replied Computer Science and Engineering. He took us to the CSE department and gave us chairs to sit. Within seconds he brought in water to drink and after a minute he brought a tea for both of us. I really appreciated that. We waited for a couple of minutes for any official to come. No one arrived, yet we waited more. After 15 minutes, a professor came to us. He was tall in height but did not look that modern it seemed he would not even know how to speak fluent English. We stood up to greet him and he made us sit again. He introduced himself as Dr. Tapas. My friend started telling him that he had come before and met Ms Khushi of CSE department and she told him to fill the admission form then and bring the documents today. Dr. Tapas (sounded like he was some PhD. holder) asked him about fees. Unfortunately, my friend had not brought the fees as he was waiting for the Jamia Admission test result( it would likely to come out around 12 July) as he was quite sure he will make into it. He even told this to Ms. Khushi and she said my friend not to reveal it to anyone else and pay the fees later by 15 July after the result is declared(obviously which meant he can have a safe side ). But when my friend told this to Dr. Tapas that he would pay the fees later as spoken to Ms. Khushi, Dr. Tapas declined the admission without fees and said to pay the entire fees by 7th July to reserve a seat. Unfortunately, Ms. Khushi was not available in the campus today. Dr. Tapas looked annoyed as if we wasted his precious time and wanted us to leave. We got up and turned to leave. Before leaving I again went to Dr. Tapas to ask about the refund procedure of the fees. He looked more annoyed and said "Admission nahi lena hai kya?" and I said that this isn`t sir, just for knowledge if we are not able to take the admission by any means then when and how the fees would be refunded? He replied looking away from us, that fees will be refunded after deducting Rs. 2000/- but would be refunded in the month of October.

The conversation ended and we reached my bike again. My friend suggested of calling Ms. Khushi and tell her about what all had happened. I called up and told her in brief about Dr. Tapas and his sayings. She told me to go to Mr. Rahul and talk to him as he know the situation as she had shared with him. We again went their and before we could go to Mr. Rahul, Dr. Tapas again stopped us and said "You haven`t left yet", I was shocked that how can a professor say this to a student and that so at the time of admission. We told him that we wanted to meet Mr. Rahul and moved towards Mr. Rahul. As we were talking, Dr. Tapas. arrived and said "Bina fees ka no admission, fees laao admission laa looo" He even did not listen to Mr. Rahul. We told him that "humaari Ms. Khushi sa baat ho gayi ha" and he said " ki jab maina mana kar diya to koi kuch nahi kar sakta ha". At that moment he said to Mr. Kiran Ki " Bhai hum kisi parkaar ka riks ( not risk ) nahi laa sakta ha yaar, aur aisa to ma 20,000 seats fill kar lu" , listening this I thought as if they were filling seats in IIT-Delhi.

Nothing much as we were told to leave by Mr. Rahul too and talked to Ms. Khushi again on the phone and being cooperative again she promised to do as best as possible for us.

Conclusion: Lingaya`s is one of the best Private colleges in Faridabad but still there are some people in these good places who spoil the reputation and no one can say anything to these people. Such cases are even present in IIT`s, believe me as I know some true stories about there also. And one thing that I am also sure is that all CSE seats would not be filled even by 15th July........(As told by Ms. Khushi only....CSE faculty)

Sorry .......for not writing about Jee Main,,,,,promise to cover it in the next post...
BUT It was more important to tell as it had something to show to the world about our system and society......
HOPE Dr. TAPAS would read It............................ AND LEARN SOMETHING!!!!!!
